Another Quick Draw
I will be doing a Quick Draw on Feb. 16 for the Park County Republicans annual Lincoln Day Dinner. This will be held at the Holiday Inn in Cody starting at 5:30pm. I believe we will be doing the Quick Draw during the social hour at the beginning.
Always fun to do Quick Draws and I promise to do no donkeys.

Welcome
Welcome to my BLOG. I want to use it to keep new events on my website. Events, new paintings, Opportunitys so I hope you will check it out once in awhile. I am doing some small paintings that are a painting a day that I will probably offer for sale reasonable. This week end I will get them scanned and on here. I am pretty proud of myself that I could figure all this out on my own. But don't expect miracles, I'll probably still goof up.

Pointillism
I do a form of pointillism that is stippling with color. I use fine tip mechanical pens and colored inks to layer dots of color to create the effect I want. A slow method but very rewarding to see the end result. I have perfected my tecnique for many years.
Many paintings take 100 hours or more. I will usually begin with a sketch but most times the painting creates itself as forms begin to take shape. Sometimes I will use a watercolor wash underneath, especially blues.
I have found out I am not alone. There are pointillist artists all over the world. To see some of them go to www.changing-realities.com and click on links and resources. This artist does beautiful work and also features the rest of us.
