Blue Buffalo Artists Display at Rock Creek Resort

These two photos are from the Depot Gallery Show. I will be entering more as I go along. The paintings are the display of Elene Weege from Stevensville, MT. The other is of 3 of our artists who were at the reception. Melody Christenson, Berna Loy Ost and Dean Noel. I believe they are standing in front of Bob Tomkins display.
Altogether, we had 19 of our members displayed. A pretty good average.

The Blue Buffalo Artists Show in Red Lodge

This Photo is our display at the Chocolate Event held at the Rock Creek Resort in Red Lodge on Febuary 11.
It was a wonderful week end and I want to get more photos posted on here. The reception for the Depot Gallery show was on Friday. It snowed all day and was really a beautiful week end, just hurt attendence but it is winter after all.

TRIP UP THE NORTH FORK OF THE SHOSHONE

Both of these photos taken on the North Fork today. What a beautiful day it was. Nancy Ferrington invited me to go take photos of the Big Horn Sheep. They were right down on the road starting just the other side of Wapiti. The further west the more snow. We went as far as Pahaska Teepee and Sleeping Giant Ski area. Nancy packed cheese and crackers and apples. We had a feast. Thanks Nancy for a great day.

Christmas Home Tour will stop at Stone Soup Studios

Santa paid us a visit at Stone Soup a while back and posed for us. One of my sketchs done in oil pastel. He will also return on Sunday the 4th of December for the Park County Arts Councils Christmas Home Tour. Stone Soup will be full of art and crafts for Christmas. Display at First Bank of Wyoming

My display at the Bank in Powell. Berna and I both have the display and we have alot of room. It will hang until December 30, 2011 so anyone in the Powell area stop in and see it. Our press release was in the Powell paper and the Cody Paper so that was nice.

Happy Thanksgiving

Hope everyone has a great Turkey Day. It is sunny, not cold, snow almost all gone and a very nice day for Thanksgiving.

Open House and Christmas sale at Cody Country Art Leage

The Cody Country Art League is having it's annual Christmas show, inviting members and members of the community to display arts and crafts tell Christmas. This Saturday, Nov. 19, it is Open House from 9-5 at the Art League.
My art, "Big Harry" is on sale as well as a few Christmas cards of him.

Colored Pencil Sketch of mine

Yesterday was the Annual Garden Tour put on by the Master Gardeners and the Cody Country Art League. There were 6 gardens and each had a couple of artists painting and a master gardener to answer questions. Was a really nice day. Berna Ost and I were in the same garden. We each did a small bird house that were hanging on the fence around the garden. Mine is done in colored pencil on mat board. It was framed and auctioned at the sale after the tour. This was my 5th year and what beautiful gardens we get to go to. Always look forward to going each year.

Blue Buffalo Artists at the Cody Chamber of Commerce Banquet

Some of our Blue Buffalo Artists were invited to demonstrate at the 111th Annuel Cody Country Chamber of Commerce Banquet. Thanks to Kim and Mike at the Irma Hotel who invited us. We had a grand time and got to eat, what delicous food. The theme this year for the banquet was "Paint Your Wagon" 30 years of art in Cody. Mainly celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Buffalo Bill Art Show. We felt honored to be able to do this. We tried to do a variety of mediums. Berna did oils, Melody watercolors, Nancy sculpting and I did scratchboard.

My Painting "Rock Creek" in Paint America

This miniature painting, "Rock Creek" has gotten an Honorable Mention in the Paint America Mini Show. They select top 100 and from that they select top 50 to be in the show. I did not make that but got in the top 100. Wow, Wow, Wow.

Ranchs, Wranglers, Chocolate, Pollard Hotel in Red Lodge

this is my donation for the fundraiser at the Pollard Hotel in Red Lodge, Montana to be held on Feb 12, 2011. This benifits the Carbon County arts Guild and the Food Cubboard of Red Lodge. This small painting is 5x8 and done in pen and ink. It is an old log cabin in Sunlight Basin, Wyoming

Trip up the North Fork

Took an afternoon jaunt up the North Fork taking photos of the Big Horn Sheep. Alot were down on the road. Saw alot of deer and one lonely buffalo. But what a pretty day. Enjoyed the trip very much.

Montana-Wyoming Past & Present Art Show

I will be the featured artist, along with Jane Stanfel of Montana, at the Depot Gallery in Red Lodge, Montana during the month of February.

I will be spending most of this month getting ready for that. Very exciting. A reception held at the Gallery on Feb 11 and we will be part of the Chocolate Event at the Pollard Hotel on Feb 12.

Blue Buffalo Artists Display at MOOSE CREEK

Mr Santa Bear greets folks coming into our display at the Moose Creek Art and Furniture in Cody. He is a busy bear, decorating the tree.
There are several of us with art for sale. Berna Ost, Nancy Ferrington, Melody Christensen, Bob Thompkins and Barbara Butler from Billings and Kay Burian from North Dakota plus Me. Since we are next door to Dennies Guns we get lots of hunters and family coming through. We have been going about once a week to demonstrate and visit. There is so much to see there, besides our art. Neat shop.

2010 Capital Christmas Tree in Cody

This is all we got to see of the Christmas Tree. We did not stay for the program so they may have uncovered it. Nice event at any rate. Saw some photos of friends who got in the original photo with thier Buffalo Bill go t's and mustashs. Cute

Garden Tour on the South Fork of the Shoshone

the Cody Country Art League and the Master Gardeners are doing the annual Garden Tour but this year there are 5 Gardens and all on the South Fork. Not only beautiful Gardens but the scenery is breath taking. This is a view of the garden I will be at. This doesn't show the garden but sure does show the scenery. It is called Bear Creek Ranch and is located on lower south fork road.

Trip to North Dakota

I just returned from a short trip to ND. A stop in Medora and a couple of days in Almont. Mel Christensen rode along with me. We had a very nice time. We visited a friends farm and took photos of the chickens, geese and ducks. This little hen fell in love either with Mels toes or her bright red sandles.
