UPDATE on ONSLOW

Onslow is now setting in front of the Museum in Meeteetse. A great place for him. People are glad to see him which makes me feel good. From what I understand he had a great time at the Park County Fair. Pat Stuart informed me the ladies at the fair found a picket fence to put around him and used him to show off their needlework. Great.

CODY ART SHOW Artist Robert Tompkins

One of the featured artists at the Cody Art Show Sept 24-27 at the Historic Irma Hotel in Cody. Bob lives in Billings and is a full time professional artist. He works in Oils.
Bob participated in the Art in the Beartooth in Red Lodge on July 26. The photo is of him painting Aspins, Was a beautiful painting but of course I didn't get a very good photo.

Art in the Beartooth, Red Lodge, Montana

Saturday, July 26 at Red Lodge.
Thirty some of us painted outdoors at the Art League in Red Lodge and an auction was held that night. Mine was done in pastel and of Bear Tooth Lake. Was very hot but I had a shaddy place. They had a pretty nice crowd but the auction not the best. Some sold pretty good and others not at all, including mine. But I was 31 of 36 and alot had left. Especially because of the Fire.
Called the Cascade fire because it started in or near Cascade Campground. It started around 2 in the afternoon. We heard all the fire trucks going out of town. The photo is one I shot as I left the show around 8:30. The tents are the art show. The whole sky was purple and red all the way to Cody. The news said it is in a canyon and they can't get to it. Evacuated campgounds, the ski resort and at least 90 homes. Not good

Supper Time

Poor Mom don't get to rest anywhere. Enjoyed these little guys all day. Hope they will return but the deer roam the whole area up here so maybe someone else will get to enjoy them.

Out my Bedroom Window

This afternoon looked out my window and this is what I saw.  They stayed there all afternoon.  Mom was across the yard taking a rest.  They disapeared once and I was looking all over.  They were right below me eating the flowers. 

Onslow Gone to the Fair

Onslow has been moved from the rodeo grounds to the Park County Fair in Powell. What a great place for him to be. I wanted kids to see him and what better place. He will not be going back to the rodeo grounds but not sure where they will put him. No one could see him at the rodeo grounds.

Morning Visiters

Mama and babys here this morning. I took the photo through the screen because didn't want to scare them off but don't think I would have. They are very tame.

CODY ART SHOW Artist Mary Michael

One of the featured artists at the Cody Art Show at the Historic Irma Hotel Sept 24-27, 2008. Mary has won many awards for her bronzes around the country. She will be part of the Cowgirl Up in Wickenburg, AZ next spring. Way to go.
She lives in Livingston, MT with her husband and daughter. They will be moving to Bridger, MT in Sept. Come and see her beautiful bronzes.

Visiting Onslow

Welcome to Cody, Dan and Iris. Was so great to see you and was nice that we were able to get into the rodeo grounds and visit Onslow. He survived the sell out crowds of the Stampede Rodeo and the ESPN Xtreme Bulls. So he is going good.

Cody Stampede 4th of July Parade

Everything is BIG in Wyoming
These little guys are so cute
The parade is July 3 and 4 and is a big event here. Mom and I had excellant seats near the end of the parade route.
