I can not believe it has been April since I wrote in here. Terrible. Need to get going again. Just seems the time is flying by. Trying to work on the 4th annual Cody Art Show and not getting very far. But it will be the best ever, see if it isn't.
It is snowing this morning. Let this get out of its system and let Spring come. Think everyone is hoping for that. Alot of us heading for Great Falls the 15th so let the snow go AWAY. B and L hope you get home safe today from Grand Forks.
This winter scene I did a few years ago and was my Christmas card that year. Fits today, it is cold, breezy and snowing a little. We are lucky and not getting like some places but still winter. The painting is for sale and I do have it on hand. I am staying by the fire today, hope you are too.
I found out today that this beautiful Shire has died. This painting that I did of him has been so lucky for me. He was always down down for the Christmas Walk. Just a gentle beautiful giant. My condolences Patsy
My very first handmade journal, leaves alot of room for improvement but it was fun. Took the class from Charlene who makes alot of these of different kinds. I am thinking this one will serve as a keepsake of the Red Lodge show.
It is snowing here and has all morning. But not piling much. We are pretty lucky considering many parts of the country.
I am putting this painting on today as it is diffinantly winter today. It is snowing and to get much colder, a breeze from the north. BRRRRRR. This painting done in pen and ink pointillism is titled "Winter In the High Country" and is from a photo of the North Fork of the Shoshone on the way to Yellowstone National Park. A friend took the photo and let me use it. I have always been pretty proud of this painting.
This is a pencil drawing of two actors in a movie shot here in Cody. I am seriously thinking of starting a Blog on just drawing, Pencil, Colored Pencil, Pen and Ink, Charcoal and Scratchboard. Love working with a pencil, I grew up with a pencil in my hand doodling on whatever I could find. I have talked to lots of artists who are the same. There is some gorgeous pencil pictures out there. The January 2011 issue of Art of the West has a section on pencil. Don't tell me this is not Fine Art. Anyone have a comment.
I have been very lazy with this Blog lately and my New Years Resolution is to keep it up better. It is a very cold snowy day in Cody, Wyoming. We usually don't get the snow and weather other parts do and this is bad enough for me. Maybe 4 inchs on the ground. Very dry powdery stuff.
