"No Butts About It" by Pat Schermerhorn

This little piece was so fun to do. She is matted with a blue denim outer mat and a bright red inner one. Really sets her off.
No Butts about it, Cody is in a high wind mode and will not go away. Day and night seems like. Getting mighty tiresome.

WINTER IN THE HIGH COUNTRY

I am putting this painting on today as it is diffinantly winter today. It is snowing and to get much colder, a breeze from the north. BRRRRRR.
This painting done in pen and ink pointillism is titled "Winter In the High Country" and is from a photo of the North Fork of the Shoshone on the way to Yellowstone National Park. A friend took the photo and let me use it. I have always been pretty proud of this painting.

Thats right, an oil painting. Something rare for me but this was done on location at the Ost Ranch a few years back. I entered it in a show about the Big Horn Basin and it was accepted and will hang for awhile at Northwest College in Powell, WY. It will be taken there Oct 5 for the show. It is titled Basen Oasis and is 16x20 on masonite.

HORSES IN ART Cover Contest

This painting, titled "Paint Horses" was entered in the Horses in Art Cover Contest. I was notified yesterday that I got an honorable mention. Was very happy. Horses in Art is a great little horse magazine, full of horse artists. Most very very good so I felt honored to get that far. To view the magazine go to horsesinart.com

This painting is a commission I did for three sisters of their mother and her mule. It was a Christmas gift to her. It was a lot of fun doing and a wonderful subject. It was done in pen and ink pointillism.
