The Buffalo Roam Auction in West Yellowstone

Robin and I just got home today from the big week end in West Yellowstone. It was a great ending to the Buffalo Roam project which began in 2007. Robins calf, Lulubelle, was chosen to be raffled off. Over 2700 tickets were sold and she was won by a man from Boise, Idaho. Robin was pretty happy.
Saturday night was the auction of the rest of buffalo and calves. Buttercup was number 3 and Poppy number 4. Buttercup brought 3800.00 which was great then Poppy sold for 4500.00. I was thrilled to death. It was sad to know it was all over and probably never see any of them again.

North Dakota Badlands

Somehow I missed this photo on the previous blog. The Sully State Park at the Theodore Roosevelt National Park near Medora. The Park is just beautiful this year. With all the moisture it is so green. We spent two days setting painting these bluffs.

TRIP to NORTH DAKOTA

I just spent 10 days in North Dakota. Berna Ost went with me to visit grandkids in Minot. We spent 2 days in Medora and sat in Sully State Park and painted. Then it was on to Almont for me. A picnic on the Heart River. I have never seen the state so green and beautiful. Had a wonderful time

Our intentions were to Paint and Sketch but it drizzled rain all day so we took photos, scouted out some great places to go back to paint and just went sight seeing.
